In the past month, the PhD student Inês Carvalho, from the Animal Health and Aquaculture research team, concluded an internship of three months at the Center for Animal Health Research (CISA-INIA-CSIC) in Madrid, Spain, within the framework of the GRINNAQUA project. During this period, she participated in an in vitro trial that aimed to evaluate the effects of different methionine concentrations on immune-related genes using a rainbow trout intestine cell line. The acquired knowledge will be integrated into her PhD thesis and will enrich the range of laboratory techniques used by CIIMAR team.
