During two weeks, CIIMAR PhD students will receive comprehensive training to deepen their knowledge and enhance their expertise in transcriptomic analysis, building on the skills developed during the 1st GRINNAQUA workshop, on “omics tools”.
This year’s edition focused on “new approach to a sustainable blue economy” and “innovation in the blue economy”. This was a perfect opportunity to showcase GRINAAQUA.
Make the best use of accumulated knowledge and experience, CIIMAR organized a session where CIIMAR researchers who submitted successful proposals shared their tips, strategies and insights. GRINNAQUA researcher Rita Azeredo, who was able to secure a junior researcher CEEC shared her personal strategy.

PhD student Inês Carvalho, from the Animal Health and Aquaculture research team, concluded an internship of three months at the Center for Animal Health Research (CISA-INIA-CSIC) in Madrid, Spain, within the framework of the GRINNAQUA project.
The first theoretical-practical workshop about omics tools in aquaculture, within the scope of GRINNAQUA project, will take place on the 16th and 17th of March in Leça da Palmeira.
On 16th November, CIIMAR headquarters received the kick-off meeting of the GRINNAQUA project, led by CIIMAR researchers Sérgio Fernández Boo and Benjamín Costas.
